GAA Handball held an outline presentation about new handball proposals in Beakan , Mayo last Tuesday.New proposals and other changes were discussed and the proposals will be sent to the County and Club boards over the next few weeks.
Connaught Adult 60 x 30 championship finals were played this weekend with 10 Sligo players involved in finals. It was a winning start to the weekend in Ballymote last Thursday , with Francis McCann winning well against Galways Jimmy Connaughton. Friday night in Fenagh was next with Martin Brannigan overcoming Alan Hevehan from Roscommon and Laura Finn continuing her good form dismiss the Leitrim challenge of Joanne Logan. It was back to Fenagh on Saturday where Martin Cooney held his nerve to close out victory in a third game against Mayos Tom Sweeney. Well done to all Sligos winners and players who took part.
County Underage 60 x 30 B championship starts in Sligo next week , with Leitrim opposition in the Connaught semi-finals on the weekend 14-09-2018.
