Our minor team were defeated by Tourlestrane in Tourlestrane on Wednesday evening of last week in the Minor B championship final on a 1-4 to 3-12 scoreline. We thank all the players and their management team for a great competitive season. Our U/21 team went down to Easkey/Enniscrone/Kilglass away on Sunday last on a 2-3 to 2-13 scoreline. Their next game is on Sunday against Tourlestrane at 1pm at a home venue. Congrats to the Tourlestrane senior footballers on winning a third championship in a row last Sunday week in Enniscrone, and we wish them well in the Connacht Club Championship. A special word of thanks to Mary Kilcoyne who sang the National Anthem so well at the Junior County championship final in the Community Park recently, and also to Regina Henry for her work in the lead up to the big day. Anybody interested in representing the club in either Junior or Senior Scor competitions coming up in a number of weeks time should contact chairman Bill Carty, vice-chair Brian McIntyre or secretary Fergus Leonard as soon as possible. Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of the late Sharon Walsh McCann of Highfield, Tubbercurry, who went to her eternal reward recently. May she rest in peace.
