The clubs operation transformation started on Sunday week last in the community park with a number of talks followed by registration for a larger than expected number of participants which is very encouraging. The total cost of the seven week programme is €70, Organised Sunday morning walks, fitness for all classes in the community centre with Nathaniel Kelly and Sarah Mulligan on Tuesday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, Saturday morning from 9.30am to 11.30am with Sandra Rowley. Sunday morning walks are planned to commence at 11.30am. At the end of the seven weeks their will be a grand finale in Brennans Lounge were the winners and runners-up will be announced  All queries to operation transformation co-ordinator Brian McIntyre at 087-2705372. or club chairman Bill Carty. It should be good fun as well as very healthy excercise. The annual 5k road race/jog/walk will be held on Sunday 10th February next at 12 noon from the community park. All athletes from national school to senior, men and women, boys and girls are encouraged to take part. Family groups are more than welcome to participate on the day, Walking groups are also very welcome to come along and take part. As this is the tenth anniversary of the road race a bigger and better event is being planned this year. All queries to club chairman Bill Carty or secretary Fergus Leonard in the coming weeks.
