The annual 5k road race held on Sunday week last was a great success as in the region of 200 people ran, jogged or walked the course. The club wish to sincerely thank all those who participated on the day for their support once again on this occasion in not the best of weather conditions. A big thank you also to all the volunteers who gave of their time and energy to ensure that this event ran smoothly throughout. Congrats to all the winners and to all who took part in the event.
Parents, ex-players and all those interested in getting involved in helping out in the running of all underage teams for the coming season are asked to contact the chairperson Bill Carty or secretary Fergus Leonard as soon as possible.
Club membership is now due and people are encouraged to do so in the coming weeks by contacting club treasurers Brid Calvey or Neil Walsh, or any club officer. The club had its registration for all players on Sunday last in the Community Park gym. All players have to be registered in order to play for the the club in the coming year. Training continues for the senior panel in preparation for the new season and all players are encouraged to make themselves available to the team management on a consistent basis.
