Intermediate footballers return to the league action next Sunday with their
first home fixture of 2019 at Quigabar. Drumcliffe/Rosses Point are the

U-21
The
Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey U-21s booked their place in the A Championship
semi-finals with a hard-fought 1-9 to 1-6 win over Tubbercurry/Cloonacool at
Kilcoyne Park last Sunday. They take on Shamrock Gaels in the semi-final next
Friday at 7pm in Coola. Good luck to everyone involved.
Minor
The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey
minor footballers are next in action next Monday April 22nd away to
St Molaise Gaels.
U-16
Our U-16s edged
out a two-point win over St Patrick’s last Monday, 4-6 to 3-7, in Dromard. This
result leaves the team with two wins from their opening two matches ahead of
round three in two weeks away to Owenmore Gaels.
U-14
Our U-14s
played out a cracking match against St Patrick’s at Quigabar last Tuesday,
eventually winning out by five points on a scoreline of 7-6 to 3-13. They are
away to Castleconnor in their next game on April 25th.
U-12
The U-12
squad have their first competitive match of the year on Tuesday evening (April
16th) at 7pm at home to Curry at 6.30pm. Good luck to the players
and management for the year ahead.
U-8
We had a
wonderful evening at Quigabar for the first west Sligo U-8 blitz of the year.
The club had two teams involved and all the boys and girls showed off the
skills they’ve been practicing through the winter indoor training programme.

County Scene
Congratulations
to Michael Duffy (manager), Gavin Duffy and Oisin Hynes on their involvement
with the Sligo minor team that collected silverware last Saturday, winning the
Ulster Minor League shield title against Down in Clones. A dramatic finish gave
Sligo a 1-9 to 1-8 win. Good luck to the squad and management for the upcoming
Connacht Championship campaign.
