The Senior team drew 0-18 to 2-12 with St Marys in the second round of the league last Sunday. The team was: Daniel Lyons, Andrew Flynn, Paul Higgins, Evan Lyons, Ciaran O’Connor (0-2), Karl McKenna, Sean Carroll, Dillon McDermott, Liam O’Connell (0-1), Keith McMorrow, Frank Quinn (0-1), James Carroll (0-1), David Quinn (0-3), Darragh Hailstones (0-6), Shane Deignan (0-3), Subs: Declan Willis for S Carroll and Dylan Willis (0-1) for L O’Connell. They now take on Castleconnor next Sunday at 3.00PM.


The Senior ladies had a good win over CT Gaels on Sunday morning on a score line of 5-4 to 0-5. The team was: Meabh McDermott, Eillis O’Connor, Aisling Boyd, Lisa Conlon, Naomh Quinn, Louise Merrick (1-1), Isobel Clark, Siobhan Brennan (0-1), Meg Craig, Roisin Kearns, Mairead Tuohy, Rachel Boyd (0-1), Aoife O’Connor, Aoife Brennan, Erin Mullaney (2-0), Subs used: Jane Benson (1-0), Amy Healy, Aine O’Connell, Eithne Morley (0-1), Grace O’Carroll (1-0).


The U21 team made a disappointing exit from the Championship losing 1-10 to 2-14 to Easkey and Enniscrone last Friday in the semi-final of the A Championship. The team never got going on the day and did not perform to their potential losing on a score line of 1-10 to 2-14. The team was: Daniel Lyons, Patrick Benson, Evan Lyons, Alan Kelly, Daire Kearns (0-1), Karl McKenna, Andrew Flynn, James Carroll (0-2), Dillon McDermott, Michael Barry, Dylan Willis (1-1), Sean Carroll (0-1), Lee Deignan (0-2), Darragh Hailstones (0-2), Shane Deignan (0-1). Subs: Brendan Hailstones for M Barry, Steven Willis for L Deignan, Ryan Fitzpatrick for A Kelly, Emmet Dodd for A Flynn.


The U18 boys have a busy week ahead with a home game against Drumcliff on Monday at 6.30PM in Coola. They then play Coolera/Strandhill away on Thursday at 6.30PM.


The U16 girls made a great comeback last Thursday evening but lost in the end by the narrowest of margins. The team was: Emma O’Carroll, Sarah McKeon, Andie Brady, Emma Rainey, Kate Brady, Lara Swann, Ellie McDermott, Ana McCann, Ceili Faughnan, Nadine Hargadon, Amy Willis, Meave Lyons.

The U16 boys lost 1-10 to 3-14 to a strong Curry side last Wednesday.

The U14 girls lost to a strong Eoghan Rua side last Monday in very difficult conditions. The team was: Cheyenne Casey, Louise Robertson, Meabh Callaghan, Emma Rainey, Sophie Swan, Sarah McKeon, Hannah Sheridan, Lara Swan (1-1), Nola Eivers (0-2), Hannah Willis (0-1), Lyn Barlow, Beth Candon, Katie Brehony, Anna Bagnall, Amy  Malone (1-0) Subs: Ruby O’Sullivan, Sarah Carroll and Clodagh Murrin.

The U14 boys get their league campaign underway this Thursday with a home game against Curry in Coola at 6.30PM.

The U12 girls maintained their unbeaten run in the league with a convincing win over St Michaels last Friday. They now play Owenmore Gaels in Coola Friday evening at 7PM.

The U12 boys drew 9 points each against Tourlestrane last Tuesday. The team was: Alex Clark, Sean Doherty, Leo Scanlon, Troy Kelly, Cruz Lyons, Matthew  Potter (2), Jack Brehony (3), Charlie King, Dylan White, Rian Conway, Eoin Feeney, Christopher O’Neill, Ruari Kelly (1) Subs: Liam McDermott, (1), Jack Wills (2), Eddie Cogan, Donnacha Benson.

Well done to the U10 Girls who played in Croke Park last Monday representing Sligo along with Eoghan Rua. The day was enjoyed by all and the girls recorded wins over teams from Donegal, Antrim, Fermanagh and Clare. Well done to the players and to coaches Fiona Lyons and Gus Chapman and all parents who travelled.

The U8 and U10 have a home blitz on Wednesday against Drumcliffe in Coola.

The club are doing clothes recycling again and bags can be dropped to the clubhouse at any time during training or games before 25th April. Items accepted are clothes, handbags, shoes, towels, bed linen, curtains, teddies all in clean condition.
