Our senior team came up short by 3 points in a hard fought division 3 encounter in Ballintogher versus St. Michaels on Holy Saturday. A lacklustre first half was to prove their downfall as they never recovered from the poor start but battled well to finish St. Michaels 0-15 Cloonacool 0-12. Best for Cloonacool was the excellent Brian Towey and Cork based Evander Brennan and young stars Rian Moylan and Sean Carnahan. Next outing is at home this Saturday  v St. Molaise Gaels at 7. Thanks to the great support who travelled to Ballintogher and hopefully we'll have an even better crowd to support the lads at home.
This Monday our minors host neighbours Curry at home with hopes of getting back to winning ways. Our u12s are in action this Tuesday away to Tourlestrane at 7. U14s are away to St. Marys on Thursday at 6.30. The U16s are out next Monday in Kilcoyne park versus neighbours Ballymote/ Bunninadden at 6.30. All support for all our teams greatly appreciated.
Our U21s went down to Easkey/ Enniscrone by 3 points in the U21 championship. Our U16s showed great resolve to come back from a 12 point deficit to beat Drumcliff/ Rosses Point in the u16 league. Our U12s had mixed fortunes beating Owenmore Gaels in the division 1 league and suffering defeat in the division 3 league.
Well done to all our U12s who represented both clubs with pride in Croke park on Wednesday in the Littlewoods go games. Thanks to the coaches and parents who made the journey to Dublin to look after the lads so well. This trip will live long in their memories.
There is a game for u8/10 scheduled for Wed at 7pm. U6/8 training will resume on next Friday at 6.30.
