Senior Football
Our senior lads were defeated on Saturday last in the Benson Cup semi -
final by Owenmore Gaels on a scoreline of 1-8 to 0-14 in Colooney. A Noel
McGuire long range goal in added time pushed the game to extra time, but our
lads only scored once in extra time and Owenmore Gaels opened out a 3 point
lead. Our seniors have no game this weekend.
Minor Football
Our Minor footballers
had a comprehensive 3-16 to 0-6 points win over Tubbercurry/ Cloonacool on
Tueday evening last in Quigabar in the A league. They are now in the shield
final with fixtures yet to be announced.
Club players in County Action
Well done to our club
players that were involved in the Sligo senior hurlers win in Louth last
weekend. Best of luck to Mikie Gordon and the Sligo senior football panel who
play Galway this Sunday in Markievicz Park in the Connacht Championship. The
County Hurlers are out again this weekend against Tyrone in the Nicky Rackard
Cup on Saturday at 1pm in Scarden so best of luck to all the club lads
involved. In the Celtic Challenge, Sligo play Donegal in Round 3 in Scarden on
Wedneday evening at 7.30, best of luck to all Easkey /St Farnans hurlers
involved.
