Well done to our Junior Ladies who turned in a brilliant performance against Coolera/Strandhill in the Championship Round 2 clash in Ransboro on Monday last. Gaels won on a scoreline of 6-06 to 4-07 which is deserved reward for the hard work put in by the squad and Management team this season.
Our next Club Lotto Draw also takes place on  Tuesday June 11th at 8.30pm in the Clubhouse.  The Jackpot now stands at €4,400. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for this important Club Fundraiser. Winners of €50 Vouchers in our Draw held on May 28th were Nicola McGowan and Kieran Feeney. Also on the Bank Holiday Weekend we had our Bucket Collection on Saturday and Monday and the Club appreciate the generous support received and thanks also to the Senior Players and Club Coaches for their assistance with this event.
Underage Coaching continues this Saturday  at the Pitch, Girls from 10.00am to 11.00am, Boys 11.15am to 12.15pm.  Hurling coaching will be on Sunday mornings from 10.00am to 11.00am. Our annual "Cash for Clobber" Fundraiser continues. if anyone has old clothes, shoes etc the Club would be delighted to receive same. Bags can be dropped at the Clubhouse on Saturday mornings.
 Our two U12 Boys teams had excellent wins at home to St Mary’s on Tuesday evening last while on Bank Holiday Saturday both squads acquitted themselves extremely well in the prestigious Clifford Cup Tournament hosted by St Mary's. Our U12 side reached the Cup final defeating Corofin in the semi final before going down to Glencar/Manorhamilton in the final. Our U11 Boys qualified  for the Plate semi final before an 8 score to 5 defeat against hosts St Mary's. 7.00pm having defeated Four Masters and Glencar/Manorhamilton in the Group stages and going down to a narrow defeat to Castlebar Mitchells.
Our Development Mens side played out an entertaining 1-14 to 2-11 draw at home to St Michaels in Division  III on   Saturday evening which featured the welcome return to action of James Brennan . Sunday saw our senior men go down to  a very disappointing 0-15 to 1-09 defeat away  to Eastern Harps.
This Tuesday evening our U12 Hurlers are away to Easkey at 7.00pm while on Thursday evening our U14 Boys have an A League fixture away to Ballymote/Bumninadden at 7.00pm. On Saturday next June 8th our U12 Girls will be in action in the League Shield final in Tubbercurry.
Preparations are well underway for our 2nd Benbulben Country Music Festival which takes place on Sunday July 7th.
 Our annual Aidan McGowan U11 Boys Tournament will take place on Saturday June 22nd with some of the most famous Clubs in the Country expected to compete.
