Senior Football
Our senior lads came out with a 9 point victory against St Pats last
Sunday in Easkey in blustery conditions in Round 6 of the league. The game
finished 3-10 to 1-7, our goals scored by Joe McHugh, Andrew Kilcullen and
Mikie Gordon. We sit joint top of the league, level on points with Geevagh
after 6 games played, 3 to go. There is no league action this weekend.
County
Scene
Well done to Rory McHugh, Andrew Kilcullen and Mikey Gordon who were
part of the Sligo hurling team who drew with Mayo in Round 3 of the Nicky
Rackard Cup last weekend on a scoreline of 2-16 to 1-19 which was enough to put
Mayo out of the competition and Sligo through. They now go on to play
Warwickshire in the semi final in Derry next Sunday at 1.30pm. Best of luck to
all the players and management.
