Seniors – Hard luck to the senior team who were beaten in the Abbott cup final on Sunday. The game was played in the centre of excellence in Scarden against Tourlestrane.

In a close first half, Ballymote were ahead at half time by 8 points to 7 with Ballymote’s running at the Tourlestrane defence paying dividends from open play and frees won.

Tourlestrane however put in a strong second half performance and eventually ran out winners on a scoreline of  0-17 to 0-13.

With the Abbott cup competition now over, league actions resumes next weekend with an away game versus Tourlestrane. Fixture is scheduled for Friday 14th June at 20:30.

Minor – Best of luck to the Ballymote/Bunninadden minor team taking part in a 7 a side blitz Thursday evening 13 June. Games start from 19:00.

County Minors - Best of luck to the Connor Finn, Jack Lavin, Roland Scanlon, Oisin Gorman and Liam Og Gormley as they represent Ballymote/Bunninadden clubs for the Sligo county minors in the Connacht championship on Friday evening, 14 June.
