The Fifth Annual Michael Porter Memorial Tournament
will be played for next Sunday June 23 at the local court
commencing at 11 am.
The competition is confined to eight invited players .
Last years champion Ollie Cassidy from Swinford will be
back to defend his title. Serious contenders for the perpetual
cup this year will be Vinnie Moran Ballaghadereen Club and
Paul Hedderman from the Hospital Club in Limerick.
Local players taking part will be Shane Bruen Collooney and
Kevin Meehan Ballymote.
The local club hosted the Connacht Junior B Inter Club Final
on Saturday evening. The Williamstown Club from Galway had
a easy victory over Mount Talbot from Roscommon.
Local members Cormac Finn ,Rickie Divine, and Colin Finn
competed in the Mount Talbot One Wall Tournament recently.
Cormac also competed in the recent 4 wall Nationals at Northern
venues.
