Sympathy - Deepest condolences to Neal and the Farry family on the passing of Neal's brother Fonso in New York last week. Fonso was a former Ballymote and Sligo player. He was a playing member of the last Ballymote Senior team to win the Championship Owen B. Hunt cup in 1948. He was also on the first Ballymote Minor team to win the Sligo Championship in 1949 while also being on the first Sligo Minor team to annex the Connacht Championship in 1949. May He Rest in Peace.  Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.

Senior - Well done to the Ballymote senior team played out a draw with Tourlestrane in Corran Park at the weekend, final score was Ballymote 0-14 - Tourlestrane 1-11. 

 

Minor Championship - Well done to the Ballymote/Bunninadden minor team who beat Easkey/Enniscrone/Kilglass in the minor A championship last week on a scoreline of 2-18 to 2-16. They have now qualified for the final. Please check fixtures section and/or facebook for further details on the clubs upcoming final appearance.

 

U12 – Hard luck to the division 1 and 3 teams who played St Mary’s during the week, They were beaten by 0-18 to 0-10 and 0-26 to 0-07 respectively.

 

U14 – Best of luck to the Ballymote/Bunninadden U14 team who play Geevagh/St Michael’s in the U14 B championship next Friday evening, 19 July, in Geevagh. Throw-in is 7pm.

 

U16 – Best of luck to the Ballymote/Bunninadden U16 Team who play Curry in the U16 A championship next Monday evening, 22 July in Corran Park. Throw-in is 7pm.
