St. Farnan's are delighted to announce that The Radisson Blu and Spa Hotel as our main sponsors for the intermediate team. The club was represented at the launch of this partnership by Chairman Adrian Smyth, team captain Mattie Lang and team manager Glenn Young. Sincere thanks to the hotel for sponsorship of a set of jerseys and in particular to sales managers Bernie Chambers and Orla Seery for their support and assistance. The jerseys display the logo for the Opt for Life foundation which supports organ donation. The intermediate team earned a draw in their first round of the intermediate championship against Castleconnor in Quigabar. The score was St. Farnan's 0-12, Castleconnor 1-8. On Sunday next we face Easkey at 1pm , again in Quigabar. The junior team got off to a winning start in the Junior B championship when they overcame Enniscrone/ Kilglass in a tightly contested game by 1-8 to 1-6. The team was Simon Mullarkey, Adrian Smyth, Pauric Culkin, Sean Healy, Oisin Connolly, James Flynn, Darragh Gillen, David Culkin (0-3(1f), Declan Cawley, Jason Mc Guinness, Gareth Mullaney (0-2), Patrick Flynn (0-1), Stephen Crean, Karl Hannon, Niall Culkin (1-0).Subs used: Micheál Mc Gowan (0-1), Cormac Hallinan, Dermot Browne (0-1), Fergus Hargadon, Dónall Hanley, Niall Crean. The club are also very grateful to Airtricity and in particular to local representative Martin Burns for sponsorship of a set of jerseys for our u10 team. The team wore the jerseys with pride at the u10 blitz in Scarden on Wednesday last.
Thomas O'Malley ( online) was the winner of €169 in the 50 /50 draw. Next draw on Sunday, August 11.
On Tuesday Easkey/St Farnan's u 14 football team were defeated by a very strong Eastern Harps side in the A championship.. On Thursday St. Farnan's/ St Patrick's minor football team plays St. Molaise Gaels at 7pm in Grange. On Wednesday our hurlers with Easkey senior team defeated Tourlestrane in the second round of the championship  by 6-20 to 3-11. On Monday next Easkey/ St. Farnan's u16 football team plays Shamrock Gaels at 7pm.
