Thanks to all the players and sponsors who supported our Golf Classic at the weekend. The winners were; 1st with 60.9, Johnny Quinn, David Quinn and Joe Quinn; 2nd with 61.1, Sean Carroll, Eoin Carroll and Eugene Carroll; 3rd with 62.1, Padraig Dwyer, David Gaffney and Tony Evans; 4th with 62.7, Tom O'Sullivan, Kevin Henry and Hugh McGonigle​; 5th with 63.3, James Kearns, Adam Kearns and Conor Kearns​; 6th with 63.4 was Tom Smith, Thomas Kelly and Martin Burke. The nearest the pin on hole 3 was Tom O'Sullivan while Paul O'Connell won the nearest the pin on hole 11. Thanks to our main sponsors, Flancare and to Finian Carroll for his continued support. The Junior team lost narrowly to St Molaise Gaels in the second round of the A Championship. Despite dominating the game for long periods a strong finish from St Molaise Gaels saw them get two goals in the last ten minutes to win 2-9 to 0-14. The team was: Mark Tuohy, Niall Whelan, John Craig, Conor Carroll, Shane Barry, Eoin O'Connell, Michael Hannon, Eoin Carroll, Liam Tuohy, Daire Kearns (0-2), Vinny Boyd (0-5), Mark Kearns (0-1), Michael Barry (0-1), John Paul Henry (0-3), Declan Benson. Subs: Steven Willis (0-2) for D Benson (inj), Alan Kelly for S Barry, Bryan Johnston for M Hannon.

The Senior ladies lost to St Farnans in the Junior Championship on Sunday. The team was: Meabh McDermott, Lisa Conlon, Aisling Boyd, Eillis O'Connor, Lousie Merrick (0-1), Aoife Morrisroe, Naomh Quinn, Isobel Clarke, Siobhan Brennan, Roisin Kearns, Erin Mullaney (1-1), Aine O'Connell, Rachel Boyd (0-2), Mairead Tuohy (1-0), Jane Benson (0-4). Subs: Meg Mullen for R Kearns, Makayla McLoughlin (1-0) for M Tuohy, Grace O'Carroll for J Benson, Aoife O'Connor for E O'Connor. Kate Breheny. 

The U18 boys lost 0-11 to 0-8 to Easkey/Enniscrone in the A Championship last Thursday while the U18 Girls lost to St Marys in the A Championship last Wednesday. They now face a busy week away to Drumcliff on Thursday at 6.15PM, home to Calry on Friday at 7PM and Tourlestrane on Saturday evening.

The U16 boys play Easkey/St Farnans on Monday at 7PM in Easkey.

The U14 girls play St Mary's away on Monday at 6.15PM while the U14 boys had a good 9-8 to 4-19 win over Owenmore Gaels last Friday to maintain their winning run.

The U12 girls lost to Curry in the final group game to finish fourth and now play Eoghan Rua in the semi-final on Friday 23rd August while the U12 boys play Owenmore Gaels at home this Tuesday at 7.15PM in the championship semi-final. The U11 girls play Calry at 6.30PM in Coola on Tuesday.

The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Sadie Gill, Ross Road, Riverstown who died last week.
