A huge congratulations and well done to the St Johns Ladies GAA who have won the CLUB Of THE YEAR award at the recent awards ceremony and to Olivia Flannery and Keith Mc Loughlin who were awarded THE COUNTY VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR award for all the great work they have done for ladies football. The numbers drawn in the draw which took place on Sat Nov. 23rd were 1, 12, 16 and 25. There was no winner of the Jackpot prize . The winners of the E25 consolation prizes were Brian Mc Cormack, Cartron; Mairead Maguire, Hazelwood; Tom Lawrence, Ballina and Joe Casey, Carraroe. The next draw will take place on Sat Dec 7th for a massive jackpot of E14,000. Sympathy
St Johns club wish to sympathise with Padraig Gorman and the Gorman family on the recent passing of his twin brother Peadar in Lavagh. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Congratulations
Congratulations to the Sligo Under 16 team who won the Manning Cup, defeating Laois in the final in Longford last Saturday. Well done to all the players, management and supporters. The long hours of hard work have been rewarded. Hopefully this augers well for next years Minor team.
St Johns AGM
The St Johns GAA club Annual General Meeting will take place next Sunday December 1st in The Sligo Park Hotel beginning at 5.00pm. All club members are invited to attend as well as anybody else from our area who has an interest in Gaelic games who wishes to get involved in club activities on or off the field.
