SLIGO HANDBALL NOTES.

Happy New Year to all players and supporters.

Drumcliffe hosted their Golden Gloves Tournaments last Friday , 27-12-2019.There was a large entry with competitive games through the day. After some close games , the Cup final was won by the expert mixture of youth and experience , with Hugh Slevin snr , County Board Chairman, and Kevin Diggins playing well together to overcome the strong challenge of Shane Bruen and Tom Foody. The Winners Trophy will reside in Drumcliffe and Kildare for 2020. In the Plate final the pairing of Patrick Fox and Mark Murphy won out , playing well together to beat the challenge of Colin Slevin and Gerry Coleman.Well done to the Drumcliffe Club for a great days handball and an enjoyable and well run tournament. Drumcliffe will host their Golden Gloves Juvenile competitions on the 11th and 12th of Janaury 2020.
