Our Club was saddened
to hear the news of the death of Fr. Paddy Kilcoyne RIP.
Fr. Paddy was Parish Priest of Coolaney and former Chairperson of our Club
during the 90s. He left an indelible legacy in the community and especially in
our Club during that time and was an avid supporter ever since. A gentleman to
the core, he was a tremendous coach to so many youngsters. We’ve lost a great
Club servant who was revered and highly respected by all who knew him. We
extend our sincerest sympathy to all of the Kilcoyne family, Tubbercurry and
beyond. May Fr. Paddy rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Our Club extends sympathy to all the family of
the late Dr Seamus McGuiness (formerly Knockadoo, Coolaney). Seamus was a
member of our Club’s 1958 Sligo senior championship winning team. We enjoyed a
wonderful team reunion with Seamus and his family in 2008 leaving us all with
many cherished memories. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
