UNDER 12 GIRLS
Our U12 gave a fantastic performance on Friday evening but unfortunately they came out the wrong side of a 14-13 scoreline after extra time and a points shootout. It was a tough end to a most enjoyable season.                                                                                   Congratulations to Owenmore Gaels team and management. Thanks to LGFA Chairperson Raymond Carden for his attendance at Stenson Park, which was in splendid shape suited for a county final.                                  We hope all our young ladies will remember the summer of 2020 where they met back up with friends on a Monday evening to play football and have fun with their friends. Thank you to John, Liam and Michelle for their brilliant coaching, Kiera for her massive dedication as Female Liaison Officer, Covid Officer and texter, and Fergal and Peter for huge background work.
Thank you to all the parents for your support and for your kind messages in appreciation of all those volunteers do for your children. With a panel of 27 U12s, many of whom are underage next year and some moving on to U14, those coaches have instilled in your daughters the value of being part of a team. We hope these young ladies stick at the game, practice all winter with a ball in the garden and off the wall so as to return next season taller, stronger, more skillful and ready to compete for their place on St Johns 2021 teams.
