senior championship

think senior will boil down to tour , curry , harps , with outside chance for ballymote r st johns , curry should beat geevagh , reasonably comfortably , remember curry have won the last three minor a championships and also have number of players who hold 2 senior titles , tour should beat collera unless they get complacent , like they did in 08 , harps should beat st marys but could be closer than people think , ballymote st johns is most even tie but ballmote have slight edge , and if they play up to form should just shade it , after that it all to play for tour have the strongest panell , but thats no certainty of winning the title , and they have never won back to back championships , but would be slight favourites , but any of big three capable of berating each other on a day , st johns or ballymote problem is that they will have to put two huge performances together to beat two of the big three , just think it may be to much for them, esp in a co final where experience is a big advantage , but should be some cracking games ahead

i have to disagree men yes tour had a great run in league and are showing great form but i think alot of the teams are coming into it now getting into the later stages, curry ballymote eastern harps the top of this list and i would be fairly confident this will be the 4 in the semis and on the day anyone of these teams can beat the other...sorry to other teams but dont think you have the depth, experience or talent of these four but i have been wrong in the past

Senior Championship

I agree with "football fan". Tourlestrane will wipe the floor with everyone this year. They have their homework done on most clubs and indeed they know the "better" clubs in Sligo inside out because most of them have not changed tactics over the last five years. I am not a Tourlestrane man (disclaimer) but they seem to be the only team in the county at the moment who are changing their tactics with every opponent. They tackle hard from the forward line back, they move the ball fast and they punish mistakes. They have one midfielder constantly attacking. If any team have a slow midfield pairing, (like Harps & Coolera), then this team will punish you with pace and overlapping play. This is a team who are moving efficiently without O'Hara, so wait until he comes back.... I have seen every other team play this year and they don’t measure up. Sorry lads.

tour will win owen this year without even geting out second gear.harps reali two much on p taylor and when kennedy got him last year he didnt get a kick.curry are not playing well .sturgled against johns and think they great they bet calry geevagh may just beat them and by a few points at that they allready beat them in theleague .bmote could be the surpise this year two they going about their bussines and non one rate them.but tour two win it at their ease.

Tour for Owen B

Played against tourlestrane this year and they are very impressive. they are strong all over the pitch and continue to improve. Curry are the only team that can potentially stop them. hope the teams that ar left produce some good games. South sligo all the way!!

Geevagh

Curry have a tradition of winning in Championship and Geevagh have none....So it's an easy win for me for Curry.... Harps V Marys is always a tight affair and this one will be no different, but harps have better alround player but not as stong up front as previous years... Dont right off St Johns and there is too much talk about the men from Aclare this early in the season.... So its all to play for yet with about 3-4 real contenders

Well as a harps man myself i was probably the 1 that wrote them off and still do as we are struggling greatly the last couple of years. This year we made molaise gaels look good but the coolera game we struggled in the first half and came strong in the second half but if coolera had a full strength team out we would have been beaten without a doubt and i remember someone called us a 1 man team well they are correct because we are becaause all we have in the forward line is Taylor who can score. In my opinion Tourlestrane wiil have no problem lifting Owen B this year either because i cant see any team there to stop them.
