London Defeat
Everyone is going to start losing the plot because Sligo lost to London but some perspective is needed. This win for London has been coming - Mayo should have lost two years ago and got to an All-Ireland Final the following year. Sligo beat Tyrone and drew with Armagh in 2002. Both counties fans were disgusted - these were the worst Tyrone and Armagh teams ever because they couldn't beat Sligo. By September Armagh were All-Ireland Champions and Tyrone the following year. Also when Offaly lost to Antrim in 1989 it was the end of Offaly hurling but they showed great sportsmanship in congratulating Antrim and went on to win 2 All-Irelands in the nineties. Sligo mightn't win All-Irelands but a team that has been in 2 of the last 3 Connacht Finals can bounce back. Keep calm heads and give hearty congratulations to London.
