The Launch of the IT Sligo coaching scheme took place last thurs in the IT Sligo campus. The scheme is going into its 11th year with coaches from Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Meath, Donegal and Cavan involved in the scheme which coaches approx 5000 children on a weekly basis. All coaches involved are trained up to Award 1 Child certificate and also have ladies Fundamentals certificate. The coaches will be in the schools every week for 12 weeks working on the skills of the game and fundamental movement. Frank Burke Connacht Council President launched the scheme.
