Well done to all our county U14 and U16 hurlers who represented

the county so well at the recent B championship finals in Co. Down.

While not coming away with any of the major honours on the day the

performances of both teams is testimony to the progress that is being

made at underage hurling in the county in recent years.

Congratulations to the Tourlestrane minor team on capturing the minor

championship in a closely contested final with Easkey on Thurs. night last.

The Tourlestrane lads have been contesting a number of finals at this level in

recent years and got their due reward on Thurs. night against an up and coming

Easkey team who are sure to feature in future finals.

Congratulations to the Easkey U14 team on winning the U14 final in convincing

manner against Tourlestrane on Wed. night last. Having won division 4 of the 2013

Hurling Feile this group of lads were always favourites to win out this competition

but the Tourlestrane lads fought hard to the end.

The Coolera-Strandhill U16 team beat Naomh Eoin to capture the U16B trophy

on Thurs. night last.
