Our
senior team recorded a great win over St. Michael’s in the Championship playoff
stage in Markievicz Park on Sunday. The
final score was 2-8 to 1-7. We now go
forward to the championship quarter finals, which see us play Calry/St.
Joseph’s on the weekend of 13th/14th September.
The
annual GAA Family Fun Day takes place in the Community Park on Sunday, 7th
September from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Admission
is €10 per car. A full athletic program
takes place from tiny tots to U16s; our novelty races include – egg & spoon
race, sack race and 3 legged race so please don’t forget to bring your egg
& spoon and sacks to enter these races. Also on the day we have welly
throwing competition, potato picking, ball through the tyre competition,
longest drive and the biggest highlight of the day is: The most dangerous
driver in Cloonacool Competition!
