Congratulations to Sligo Minor Team on winning the Connacht  League on Saturday last as St Molaise Gaels Player Alan McLaughlin kicked the winning point in injury time.

Alan's brother Niall followed up later Saturday evening with his own crucial last minute point of the game point as our senior team picked up their first point in this years League after a 0-12 to 1-09 draw away to Eastern Harps. Gaels will look to build on a good team performance when they entertain neighbours Drumcliffe/Rosses Point on Sunday next April 19th at 2.00pm. The senior squad would like to thank Grange Pharmacy for their sponsorship of a medical kit for the Club.

The underage football season is now well underway. On Monday last our U16 Boys continued to set the pace at the top of the league table following a good win away to Owenmore Gaels. On Thursday last the Girls from the same clubs also at U16 level played out a thrilling 3-10 each draw. This Tuesday April 14th our U12 Boys open their Division 1 League campaign with a home fixture against Shamrock Gaels. On Wednesday evening April 15th Our U18 and U10 Boys squads make the trip to Oxfield for league fixtures against Drumcliffe/Rosses Point.

Underage coaching continues Saturday mornings. Girls 10.00am to 11.00am and Boys 11.15am to 12.15pm.

If anyone has old clothes or shoes no longer needed the Club would be delighted to receive same for our annual "Cash for Clobber" fundraiser. Goods can be left at the Dressing Rooms on Saturday mornings between 10.am and 12.15pm while underage coaching is on.

Registration for all Players underage and minor must be finalised in the next two weeks. Players are not covered for insurance purposes if they are not registered.

We are still looking for Volunteers to help out with the Fortnightly Club Lotto. If anyone would be prepared to give three  to four hours of their time one weekend in every eight that would be a huge boost to our fundraising efforts. anyone prepared to help out can contact Sean Herron or Thomas Kilfeather. Thank you to everyone for their support for this fundraiser over the first six weeks.
