The Gaels gave a disappointing performance in the first round of the Championship losing out by 1-15 to 0-10 to Bunninadden at the weekend. The team was: Donal Tuohy, Colin Harte, Paul Higgins, Declan Willis, Michael Hannon, Frank Quinn (0-2), Conor Merrick, James Lyons, Joe Henry, Ciaran O'Connor, David Quinn (0-3), Eoin O'Connell, Johnny Quinn, Keith Candon (0-1), Joe Quinn (0-3). Subs: Gavin McMorrow for C Harte (inj), Mark Boyd for M Hannon (inj), Daire Kearns (0-1) for C O'Connor. 

The Juniors lost to Owenmore Gaels in the Abbott Cup on Sunday morning.

The U14 boys took part in the Regional Feile competition in Markievicz Park last Saturday. They were in a group with Claremorris and O'Donovan Rossa, Derry. In the first game they defeated Claremorris in impressive style. Unfortunately they came up against a very strong Derry team and despite a brave performance lost to who would go on to win the competition. The panel was: Ryan Brennan, Dylan Mullen, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Darragh Heffernan, Niall McGovern, Shane McCann, Eoin Dywer, Sean Carroll, Christian Monaghan, Conor Kearns, Gareth Keville, Darragh Kelly, Paul Leydon, Brendan Hailstones, Dillon Conlon, Damien Cullen, Johnny Kenny, Harry Conlon. 

The U12 Group 1 team lost 0-18 to 0-8 to Eastern Harps last Tuesday while the Group 6 defeated the Harps 0-24 to 0-21. They now take on Tourlestrane this Tuesday at home at 7PM in the final league game.

The club will be holding a first aid course over the coming weeks which will include CPR and defibrillator training. Anyone interested should contact Michelle McMorrow on 087 6157455 before 10th July.

The Lotto draw takes place this Saturday night in Sean Macs with the jackpot at €1800.

Well done to Sligo Minors on a great win at the weekend and good luck on Friday against Roscommon in the Connacht Semi-Final.

The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Josie Eames (née Leonard) Ballinode and formerly of Riverstown who died recently.
