Congratulations to our U14 Boys and Management team following their Division I League final success over St Mary's at Markievicz Park on Friday night last. Its at tribute to the quality of the squad that this final victory was achieved without a few players due to injury. It was a fine display from both teams in difficult conditions and the standard of football was excellent. St Mary's got off to a great start and had 1-01 on the  scoreboard before Gaels settled into the match. Gaels recovered well to shade the first half on a scoreline of 2-08 to 3-02. The second half saw some superb scores from both sides but a number of unanswered points in succession from the winners midway through the second period saw them establish a lead that saw the title come to the north of the county on a final scoreline of 5-14 to 5-04. Well done to the entire panel and the Management Team of Brian McGowan, Eugene Gillen and Dara Fallon.
