A Super Sunday started with our under 16 girls winning their C Championship Final against CT Gaels in Cloonacool. The girls pulled out a stomring finish to win this one when it was still in the melting pot in the last 10 minutes. Congratulations girls, and Natasha McDonald and Jim Costigan your coaches, on a fantastic year!

While all this was developing in Cloonacool, the under 13 boys were winning  their Féile  B Final in Scarden. The lads defeated Curry on a scoreline of 3.14 to 3.07, to qualify for at the National Féile Finals for the first time in 20 years.

So two titles in the bag and it's still not even lunchtime!!!

4 PM was the throw in time for the Senior Hurling final in Markievicz Park where we faced Coolera/Strandhill. After a very ropey start and leading only by 1.05 to 0.04 at the break, the lads managed to keep the opposition scoreless in the second half and went on to win handsomely by 2:18 to 0:04 to complete a remarkable run of six County titless in a row.

The under 10 development team played an exhibition game at half time, and much credit must go to Joe Keane for his effort put in all year.

Still to come on Sunday we had the under 21 championship game against Tubbercurry/Cloonacool. We were victorious again here where we won out by 1.11 to 0.11.

There was no winner of this weeks lotto Jackpot. The numbers called were 13, 18,19 and 21. Paula Stenson matched three numbers while David Dykes took the promoters prize. Next jackpot will be a whopping €5400!

We extend our deepest sympathy to Rory Leahy and family on the death of Rory's father Christie.
