The Saturday morning coaching is now up and running in Coola from 11-12PM for U6/8/10 boys and girls - all welcome. 


The lotto jackpot stands at €3,500 with the next draw this Saturday 21st in McDermotts, Castlebaldwin.

The senior team lost 0-8 to 2-11 against Tourlestrane last Saturday in the league. The team was: Mark Tuohy, Keith McMorrow, Declan Willis, Evan Lyons, Ben Tuohy, Karl McKenna, Paul Higgins, David Quinn (0-5), Liam O'Connell (0-1), James Carroll, Frank Quinn (0-1), Ciaran O'Connor, Brian Boyd, Seamus Hailstones (0-1), Darragh Hailstones. Subs: Andrew Flynn for D Willis, Michael Kilkenny for J Carroll, Gavin McMorrow for B Tuohy, Patrick Benson for C O'Connor, Daire Kearns for S Hailstones. They play Coolaney/Mullinabreena away next Saturday at 6.30PM.

The men's junior team team play Ballymote away next Sunday at 2.00PM.

The Junior ladies had an impressive 6-8 to 4-5 opening win in the league last Sunday against CT Gaels. The team was: Meabh McDermott, Catherine Tuohy, Aoife Morrisroe, Roisin Durey, Aisling Boyd, Jade Lyons (0-2), Siobhan Brennan, Lousie Merrick, Roisin Kearns, Naomh Quinn (1-0), Erin Mullaney (0-2), Simone Kelly (2-3), Rachel Boyd (2-1). Subs: Mairead Tuohy for R Kearns, Chloe McTiernan for R Durey, Aoife O'Connor (1-0) for E Mullaney, Fiona Baker for S Kelly. They play Coolera/Strandhill next Sunday away at 10.00AM.

The minor boys continued their good form with a 5-19 to 0-5 win over Ballymote/Bunninadden last Friday. The team was: Daniel Lyons, Evan Lyons, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Eoin Dwyer, Sean Carroll, Seamus Hailstones, James Carroll, Dillon McDermott, Michael Barry, Patrick Benson, Christian Monaghan, Dylan Willis, Lee Duignan, Subs used: Adrian Benson, Dylan Burke, Brendan Hailstones.


The U16 boys had an emphatic 7-11 to 0-6 over Owenmore Gaels last Sunday. The team was: Jack Duignan, Adam Kearns, David Barlow, Conor Kearns (1-1), Aodhan Eivers, Eoin Dwyer (0-1), Aaron Mc Kenna (0-1), Jason Kilkenny (1-0), Patrick Barrett, Lee Duignan (3-3), Daniel Murphy (0-1) Subs used: Gareth Keville (0-1), Shane Dwyer (0-1), Conor Sheridan, Andrew McGreevy (1-0), Jay Rogers, Charlie Mullen, Liam Candon, Conor Mc Morrow (1-2).


The U16 girls lost 3-10 to 2-3 to Drumcliffe last week.  The team was: Kate Brehony, Laoise King, Kate Brady, Andie Brady, Danielle McGovern, Ellie Mc Dermott, Grace O'Carroll, Jade Lyons (0-1), Eala Mc Dermott (1-0), Ceili Faughnan (0-2), Ana Mc Cann, Amy Healy, Mia O'Regan, Nadine Hargadon (1-0), Amy Willis. Subs: Meabh Lyons, Jessica Crowley, Emma O'Carroll, Eimear Kelly, Lucy Williams. They play Calry away on Monday 23rd at 7PM.


The U14 boys drew 6-8 to 6-8 with Coolera in the opening league game. The team was: Brian Dwyer, Andrew Barlow, Sam Tuohy, Jack Tuohy, George Barlow, Jamie Parke, Daniel King, Keelan Brehony, Conor Sheridan, Aaron Conlon, Conor McMorrow, Troy Gilgarro, Ciaran Kenny, Jack Duignan, James Foley. Subs: PJ Scanlon, Nathan Wimsey.

  

The U14 girls play their first league game against Eoghan Rua at 7PM in Riverstown Park on Tuesday evening. 

The U12 boys got the league campaign off to a winning start with a 25-12 win over Coolaney/Mullinabrenna after a strong second half performance. The team was: Donnacha Benson, Leo Scanlon, Jack Tuohy, Sean Kelly,  PJ Scanlon, Niall Kenny, Darragh McKeon, Jack Barrett, Jack Brehony, Christopher O'Neill, Alex Clark, Aaron Coleman, Yoris Rooney, Adam O'Carroll, Steven Smith Eddie Cogan. They play Geevagh away this Tuesday at 6.30PM.

The U12 girls also recorded a good 18-8 win against Geevagh 18-8, they play St Michael's on Thursday at 7PM in Coola.

The U8's and U10's have their first game of the year this Wednesday at 7PM away to Drumcliff.

The Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others have commenced training on Monday's in  Riverstown Park at 8pm. This is a fun non competitive way to learn the game, get some exercise, meet new people and have fun. No prior experience of football required just need to be over 21 - any enquiries to Michelle on 0876157455 - all new and past members welcome.

The club wish to express sympathy with the White family and friends on the passing of Jimmy last week. Jimmy was a great supporter of the Gaels with all of his family representing the Gaels down through the years. At Dheis De go raibh a anam. The club also express sympathy with the family and relatives of James Tighe, Doongeela and John King, Drum who died during the week.
