Senior Team
Our senior team, having been defeated by Eastern Harps in the
relegation semi-final, must now pull out all the stops in their effort to avoid
the drop back to the Intermediate grade when they take on Drumcliffe-Rosses
Point in the Sligo Centre of Excellence, Scarden on Sat next Sept 22 at 4.30.
Junior Team
On Sat evening last St Johns junior team welcomed
Castleconnor to Stenson Park, Cuilbeg for the quarter final of the Lola Montez
Junior B County Championship and our lads had a comprehensive victory over the
men from West Sligo on a scoreline of 4 – 13 to 2 – 6. They now go on to
contest the semi-final where they will meet Drumcliffe-Rosses Point on the
week-end after next.
Minor Team
St Marys had a comprehensive victory over our minor team in
Kent Park last week. Our lads now go on to meet Castleconnor in the Shield
semi-final in Stenson Park on Fri 21 at 6.15
Under 16 Team
Unfortunately our U16 team were defeated by a stronger
Easkey/Enniscrone-Kilglass side in their U16 B Championship final played in
Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry on Mon evening. The final score was 4-18 to 2-8.
Well done to our lads for the progress they made since the start of the year
and a big thanks is due to Fergal Kelly and his management team who put in such
hard work.
Under 13 Boys Feile
Our Under 13 Feile team begin their campaign on this Tuesday
evening when they travel to Connolly Park, Collooney to take on the local Owenmore
Gaels team, who last week accounted for St Patricks in this competition. The
team comprises some of the younger members of our successful U14 team and some
of our U12 team of this year.
St Johns Lotto
There was no winner of the Jackpot prize in the draw that
took place in Molly Fultons on Sunday 16th when the numbers drawn
were 8; 10; 21; 29. The winners of the E25 consolation prizes were J Hession,
Drumiscabole; Charlie Jordan, Carrowgubbada; Yvonne Mulvaney,Joe Mc Donnell
Drive and Martina Golden, Ballymote. The next draw will take place in the
Clubhouse, Stenson Park,Cuilbeg on Sat Sept 29th at 8.00pm for a
Jackpot prize of E12,400. Tickets can be purchase at Molly Fultons, Carraroe;
Clifford Electrical, Carraroe; Cannings House and Garden,Cornageeha, The Blue
Lagoon, Riverside, Gerry Mc Morrow’s Shop, Cairns Road and The Crozon Inn,
Caltragh.

The club propose to have a “slimmed-down” Operation
