The club had five players on the Sligo ladies county squad which beat Roscommon last Sunday by two points to qualify for a national league division 3 meeting with Meath on May 3rd. Michelle McNamara, Sinead Regan (0-1) all featured in the game while Oda Carty and Rachel Quigley are also part of the panel. It was great to see Rachel Monaghan make her competitive return after a lengthy injury lay-off.

With some many players on county duty, it was a depleted DRP women’s intermediate side which played Geevagh last Sunday in the Spring Cup. While the game ended in defeat, our depleted team played some excellent football in this game and gave 100 percent right to the end.

Our senior men’s footballers suffered their first defeat in Division 2 last Sunday at Quigabar. They led Enniscrone/Kilglass by five points at half-time but eventually ended up losing by three. We play early Division 2 pacesetters Geevagh in Oxfield this Sunday at 1pm.

Hard luck to the boys U16 gaelic footballers who were beaten by Tubbercurry by a point last Wednesday.

The girls U14 footballers made it two wins out of two in the league with an impressive win away to Tourlesrane last Monday. The boys U14 footballers host Ballymote/Bunninadden in the league this Thursday evening at 6pm. That game will be followed by our minor footballers who play Coolaney/Mullinabreena at 7:15pm.

The U12 hurlers play Easkey on Tuesday evening in the league.
The U12 football teams play the same opposition on Saturday morning at 11am in Easkey.

Our boys U8 and U10 teams travel to Coola this Wednesday to play Shamrock Gaels in a midweek fun blitz. Players are asked to assemble at Shamrock Gaels GAA pitch by 6:45pm.

Well done to all involved with another successful Carney/Lissadell 10K race on Easter Monday.

The club’s monthly meeting for April takes place next Monday 29th in Oxfield at 9pm.
