Our PJ Gillen U10 Girls Football Blitz took place on Bank Holiday Monday and was an outstanding success. Over 150 Girls took part representing seven Clubs producing a great mornings entertainment for the large attendance. Well done to our Bord na nOg Committee, all the volunteers and the Gillen family and Friends on such a great event.

Our Club Lotto draw takes place on Monday night next August 12th at 8.30pm. The Jackpot now stands at €4,800.

25 Years after a hardworking Committee oversaw the development of a new playing surface at Monsignor Hynes Park and later added the surrounding fence Tuesday August 6th 2019 sees the commencement of the upgrading of the Main Playing area, construction of a new fence surround, new dugouts, goalposts and ballstops. It's a huge project and will take approximately 10 months to complete and see action back on our Main Pitch again. We are committed to delivering this Project and would welcome everyone's help to deliver it and meet the cost of the Works. Anyone who would like to support this venture by making a €1000 contribution either directly or through a loan facility with Sligo Credit Union or through our "Friends of St Molaise Gaels" Scheme or make a donation large or small can contact any of our Club Coaches or Committee for details. The closing of the old Grounds was marked Mondayy by the playing of the PJ Gillen Girls U10 Blitz and what a great ocassion it was. We look forward to an exciting future and many more such great days  at Monsignor Hynes Park with a top class  Main Pitch to add to our superb Clubhouse and Training Pitch. However once again we are only able to plan and deliver this thanks to the foresight of  a small hardworking Group that firstly purchased these Grounds back in 1974, built our first dressing rooms in 1984 and as mentioned above progressed further in 1994. They gave us the base to move forward and now as a Club we have the responsibility of delivering for the future Generations. Its an exciting time but a very challenging one to keep the great momentum we have built up  in football and hurling, male and female, going without the Main Pitch been available to us for the next 10 months. However with the co-operation and support of all we will get there.

Another disappointing weekend of Championship action with our senior squad going down 3-13 to 1-10 against Tubbercurry in the 2nd round of fixtures in Collooney on Saturday night. Its a must win game for Gaels this weekend as we take on St Mary's in Ransboro on Sunday evening at 6.00pm. Our Development squad were beaten by by Tourlestrane on Monday in the Junior A Championship on Monday and will also be back in action this Sunday taking on Shamrock Gaels in Scarden at 1.00pm.

Our Minor Boys defeated Shamrock Gaels 3-12 to 1-06 in the A Championship on Thursday last and this Thursday will play St Farnan's/St Pat's in Scarden due to unavailability of our own pitch at 7.00pm.

Well done to our Junior Ladies who turned on the style against St Pat's in the League on Sunday winning 6-23 to 4-04. This Tuesday evening our U14 Girls are in 3rd round championship action away to St Nathy's in Bunninadden at 7.00pm. Friday night will see our U14 Boys in Championship action away to Drumcliffe/Rosses Point at 7.00pm while on Monday  next 12th its same time and venue for both Clubs in the U16 A Championship.
