Defending champions Naomh Eoin have made it back into this years final after a victory against their near neighbours Coolera/Strandhill at a very windy Markievicz Park. There was some good patches of hurling despite the elements but the commitment of both teams to their teams cause was never in doubt.

Naomh Eoin got off to a great start despite playing against the strong gusty wind and were 2-2 v 0-0 up after 10 minutes with both Arthur Wall and Fergal O'Kelly Lynch scoring after in both cases the sliotar came off the woodwork. In fact Liam O'Kelly Lynch was unlucky as his clever lobbed flick beat O'Connor in the Coolera goal but it bounced off the crossbar for the opening point.

Eoin Comerford and Kieran Prior got two points from play and things got better for Coolera as a Kevin Banks free went to the net. It may have been deflected to the net but the free itself was from inside his own 45. Two further frees from Comerford  were cancelled out by Tony and Gerard O'Kelly Lynch scores. The half finished with a Banks and Larry Cadden points from play and a Comerford free and the game tied at 1-7 v 2-4

Unfortunately Coolera/Strandhill never got going in the second half scoring only 2 points against the elements from Comerford whereas Naomh Eoin just get putting up scores and the game was finally put to bed when sub Anthony Fidgeon drove a rebound from a good O'Connor save to the net.
