Covid-19

The latest Covid-19 developments have resulted in the GAA 'pausing' the club season. As it stands, we are unsure when, or if, our outstanding fixtures - U-12 semi-final, U-14 final, U-21 championship - will take place. The inter-county season is likely to take precedence over the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for further developments.

U-14

Ironically, our U-14s championship shield final against St Molaise Gaels was postponed last weekend - but because of the weather.

U-12

Next Sunday's U-12 semi-final against Calry/St Joseph's is postponed as per the guidelines.

Ladies football

Congratulations to Eoghan Rua on making it through to the club's first-ever Connacht final with a 1-13 to 1-8 win over Eire Og of Roscommon last weekend. They were due to play Naomh Mhuire (Oranmore-Maree) of Galway in the provincial decider last weekend at Dr Hyde Park but it too has fallen by the wayside due to Covid-19.

Hurling

Well done to the Western Gaels U-12s on winning the county title recently. They were 0-5 to 0-3 winners over Drumcliffe/Rosses Point at Scarden.

Support your club

We continue to have Club Sligo tickets on sale from any committee member. All proceeds raised from the sale of tickets from now on will go towards the club.

Good luck

Best wishes to the Sligo senior footballers and hurlers in their respective inter-county competitions over the coming weeks.
