Hard luck to our u13 Ballymote/Bunninadden team against St John’s in their A championship final last week. This combination team of the A and C league teams were hoping to build on their league success but unfortunately it was not to be. There will be better days ahead however as there is a lot of promise with this team and we thank the management and panel for their commitment all year.
The U15s had another extra time experience in their championship outing with Easkey/St Farnans on Thursday last. This time however they came out 4-12 to 3-14 winners after 80 minutes of football. Good luck to them in their shield final which is due to be played on the 12th/13th of October.
The U17s had a keenly contested game with Tourlestrane last week but grinded out a 1-7 to 0-13 win which sets them up well for a semi final place. They still have one more group game against St John’s on Tuesday 5th at 5:45 in Ballymote.
The Intermediate team will play St Molaise Gaels in the Semi Final on Sunday 10th of October at 1.30pm in Markievicz Park. This game will be streamed live on sligogaatv.ie. It will be an all ticket affair but there will be no issue with anyone getting due to a large capacity. We encourage as many of our supporters to attend and give the team every support possible as they attempt to reach a second intermediate final in three years.
