This Sunday, October 17th, at 2pm, the club's big fundraiser for the year takes place at Drumcliffe River - the inaugural DRP Duck Race.  Starting from Drumcliffe Church carpark, 12 qualifying races will be held on the day with more than €1,000 worth of prizes available to the ducks that qualify for the ‘Gold Cup ’final race. Entering the duck race is easy. You can simply buy a duck for €5 online using the event’s website: drpgaa-duckrace.com. You can also buy a 'family' of ducks for €20. All proceeds are going towards the purchase of new club equipment across all 20 of its male and female football and hurling teams. So, please support this week by buying a duck at drpgaa-duckrace.com.

Our women's intermediate footballers have reached the Sligo LGFA county final for 2021 following an impressive 5-13 to 1-4 semi-final win against St Michael's at Oxfield last Sunday morning. The final takes place this Saturday (Oct 16th) against Eastern Harps, in Curry, at 12pm. The final is being streamed live by Sligo LGFA. We wish the players and management team led by Barry O'Sullivan the very best of luck.

There was disappointment for our senior men's footballers on Sunday at Markievicz Park as they lost their senior semi-final to an impressive Coolera/Strandhill side, on a final scoreline of 2-13 to 0-8. The defeat brings our 2021 senior championship season to an end.

Hard luck to the DRP under-13 hurlers who lost out narrowly to Western Gaels in Sunday's county final in Easkey. The final score was: Western Gaels 1-9 DRP 2-3.

Our boys minor footballers lost out to St Mary's in the minor 'A' league semi-final last Tuesday evening on a final scorelin of 2-14 to 0-11.

Well done to all our younger club members who performed with such distinction at the Sligo schools cross country championships in Rathcormac last Saturday.
