Our men's team have progressed to the Junior A Championship final after a hard-fought win over St Mary's on Sunday. The final score was St Patricks : 2-08 - St Mary's : 2-06. The lads might not be happy with the performance as they were wasteful in the first half, but they put in a huge effort and dug deep to get the win. We had a dream start with two Padraic Clarke goals and a point each for Clarke again and Jim Davis in the opening minutes ensuring we had 2-2 clocked up before the water break against Mary’s’ 0-1. Momentum then swung in the town side’s favour, and the scoreboard was balanced heading into the final 15 minutes. In the final quarter, midfielder Cathal Finneran got a point that was quickly cancelled out by a Mary's free. Points from Davis and substitute Niall Connolly put two between the sides before talisman Padraic Clarke delivered the killer blow to seal the victory. The team on duty was Tomas McMunn, Johnny Higgins, Conor Kevany, Jack Egan, James Kearins, Joe McMunn, David Giblin, Connell Kearins, Cathal Finneran(0-1), Ciaran Giblin, James Clarke, Pierce Kearins, Jim Davis(0-3), Oisin Kevany, Padraic Clarke(2-03). Subs used : Patrick Farrell, Niall Connolly(0-1), Enda Clarke. We will now play St Michael's in the final in two weeks' time, match details to be confirmed.

Congratulations to our U17 Enniscrone Kilglass/St Pats team who defeated Curry on Saturday to win U17 A League Shield Final. The final score was Enniscrone Kilglass/St Pats : 1-08 - Curry : 0-08. Goals win games and joint captain Brian Duffy got the crucial score in the second half for the west of Sligo outfit. Well done to all the players and the management team. Much credit must go to all the coaches in both clubs who have helped the players get to this stage.

Hard luck to our ladies' team who lost to Curry in their Junior A Relegation Play-off. Final score - St Patricks : 4-03 - Curry : 7-13. We would like to commend the girls for the huge commitment and effort they put in this year, some very tight games in the group stages of the competition that just didn't go their way. We have a very young team who we are sure will stick together and get us back up next year. Thanks to all the ladies' who togged out throughout the year, to the management team of Mark & Enda and all other people involved with the team.
