U-20

The U-20 football championship is the last competitive action of the year. Our lads – joined with St Pats – have played two games so far, suffering defeats to both St Molaise Gaels and St Mary’s over the last two weekends.

They have one final game against Ballymote/Bunninadden in early December.

U-17

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/St Pats minors lost out to Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in the opening round of the ‘A’ Championship recently – a knockout competition. Thanks to all the players and management for their efforts, which included a memorable win in the ‘A’ league shield final last month.

Friday Night Coaching

It has been great to see the return of our indoor Friday night coaching for a six-week block in recent weeks for our U-9s, U-11s and U-13s. Thanks to Joe Keane, Michael Duffy and Colm McGee for taking sessions over the first three weeks. This Friday, Mayo senior women’s team manager Michael Moyles will be the guest coach. U-9s takes place between 6-7pm, U-11s from 7-8pm and U-13s from 8-9pm.

Top scorer

Well done to club captain Brian Coleman who scooped the ‘golden boot’ award in this year’s Intermediate Championship. Brian registered a total of 2-29 in four matches, which left him at the top of the standings.

Hurling final

Well done to club man Michael Connolly his role as referee of the Sligo senior hurling final recently. It represents another major milestone in Michael’s refereeing career, having previously taken charge of the 2018 final.

Blotto

We would like to thank all players for their support of the blotto draw since its return last month. Many of you will have noticed our new stands positioned in several local businesses, and we thank them all for their continued support. This weekend’s jackpot is €12000.
