A quiet week in terms of games this week with exams in full swing and best of luck to club members sitting their state Exams .

Tuesday night Easkey played hosts to our u9 hurlers who enjoyed a blitz by the sea and thank you to our hosts.

Followed on Thursday by Coolaney/Mullinabreena who hosted our future football stars the U7s who served up some entertaining football skills like The hurlers and thank you again to the hosts .

Wednesday night saw a nice win for our Senior hurlers who travelled to Claremorris and returned with the points so well done .

Saturday night our Junior men played St Marys at the pitch and ran out of scores and time to lose by the narrowest of margins the single point at the whistle .

Our senior men travelled to Hazelwood to play Calry/St Joseph’s on Sunday afternoon and as the rain made it hard to believe it was Sunday in June the result was better than the weather and we came away with a strong win 2/17 to 10 points . Great to see some of our Junior lads getting a run and well done to David Brennan coming on in the second half for his debut kicking 2 fine points following in the footsteps of 2 other young lads who recently made their senior debuts Adrian Walsh and Aidan Marren who also got on the scoreboard today with a point that sailed high between the posts with “snow on it it was so high” as the saying goes ! Well done to all.

Congratulations to Banada boys victorious in their Cumman na mBunscoil final in Markievicz park on Saturday.

Don’t forget our ever popular bingo continues every Tuesday.

Congratulations  to Tourlestrane Gaa Senior men’s Captain Gary Gaughan and his beautiful bride Senior St. Nathy’s LGFA player Eithne O’Flaherty who were married in Beleek Castle on Friday last. Best wishes to you both as you start your new lives together from all in Tourlestrane GAA club .

Best of luck to the Sligo team in their Tailteann cup game on Sunday next in Croke Park .
