Well done to our Senior Hurlers who defeated Naomh Eoin in the opening round of the Senior Hurling Championship on Saturday evening on a scoreline of 3-23 to 2-11.

They also had a good win against Longford Slashers in the CúChulainn League on Thursday evening on a scoreline of 4-25 to 2-15, which makes it 3 wins from 3 games in the CúChulainn League.

It was a busy week for our u17 hurlers who beat Clonbroney/Wolfe Tones Og in the Tain Óg league on Monday but lost out to Naomh Eoin in the Sligo hurling league on Saturday. 

Their next game is on Monday against St Ciaran’s the Tain Óg League in Ballina at 7pm. 


Hard luck to Easkey/St Farnan’s u15 footballers who lost out to Geevagh/St Michael's in the Shield final on Thursday by 3-11 to 1-05.  


Our Intermediate footballers take on Enniscrone/Kilglass in the 5th round of the league this Friday at 8pm in Quigabar. 


Our Junior footballers are also in action this weekend as they take on Shamrock Gaels on Sunday at 1pm in Coola. 


Easkey/St Farnan’s u17 footballers take on Calry/St Joseph’s in the 5th round of the league this evening (Tuesday) at 6.30pm in Easkey. 


On Wednesday our u9/u11 footballers play Bunninadden at 7pm in Bunninadden. 


Well done to our young hurlers who played Ballina Stephanites on Monday in Ballina, they really enjoyed their games. Many thanks to Ballina Stephanites for hosting.

County scene:   

Hard luck to Mikey, Ian, Noel and Sligo Senior Footballers who lost out to Cavan in the Taitleann Cup Semi Final in a very entertaining game on Sunday. A young team who continue to improve and there is a lot of reasons to be very optimistic for next year. 

Best Wishes to Sligo and Geevagh stalwart Pat Hughes who announced his retirement from intercounty football this week, a terrific player for Sligo over the last decade. 


Well done to Michéal McDonagh and Sligo u15 hurlers who beat Armagh in the 3rd round of the Hibernia league on Saturday. 


Best of luck to Sligo u16 footballers who take on Clare in the Fr Manning Cup on Sunday at 10.45am in Curry.
