The club wishes to express its sincere condolences to the family of Jimmy Quinn,
neighbour, and former player, on his sad passing on Friday morning last. Ar dheis Dé go

Well done to our Under 14 Girls and their management team Marissa, Michael, and Lar
on winning the Division 2 Shield Final with a victory over Ballisodare on Saturday evening
in Scarden. An excellent performance from the girls all around the pitch ensured plenty
of goals and, leading throughout, they completed a fine display with a final score of 7-05
to Ballisodare’s 2-06.
Well done also to Sligo’s U15 hurlers, and our Molaise representatives Ruairi Cronin &
Sean McSweeney, who beat Armagh on Saturday on a score line of 5-06 to 1-04.
Our U13 and U12 Boys' squads made the trip to Ardara on Saturday for the Mick Herron
Tournament accompanied by a loyal group of parents. The tournament annually attracts
some of the top clubs from the Northwest and wider afield and this year saw the mighty
St Sylvesters Club from Dublin bring three different squads to the Hills of Donegal. While
both sides made their Shield finals, they ultimately missed out on the honours to two
strong and fancied St Sylvester teams from Dublin. Both squads were a credit to the club
and put in some terrific displays. Thanks in particular to the U11 boys who travelled to
supplement squad numbers making a great contribution. They will certainly benefit from
the exposure to this level of competition.
Our u12s welcomed Curry, on Tuesday evening for the U13 C Football League Shield
Semi-Final. Our lads put in a great performance, narrowing missing out on a place in the
final by two points. Thanks to the parents and supporters and the best of luck to Curry in
the final.
Hard luck to clubman Luke Towey and the Sligo GAA Senior Team and management in
the Tailteann Cup Semi Final against Cavan on Sunday in Croke Park. Although
producing a fine display at Headquarters, Sligo lost out on a place in the Tailteann Cup
Final by three points on a score line of 0-20 to 1-14.
