The Senior team made the short trip to Kent Park on Friday
evening to play St Mary’s in round 5 of the Division 1 League. It turned out to
be a game of two halves with the home side dominating the first to lead by 13
points to 3 at the break. Despite Mary’s putting over the first point of the
second half, Molaise began chipping away at the 11 point lead playing a lovely
brand of attacking football. With two goals helping to reduce the deficit to
just one point and with just six minutes remaining, Molaise again rattled the
Mary’s net to take the lead for the first time. Having been reduced to 14
players halfway through the second half, that was as good as it got for the
Gaels as St Mary’s scored the final three points, two from frees, leaving the
final score St Mary’s 0-18, Naomh Molaise Gaels 3-08. Our junior team fared
better at home to Tourlestrane the following evening, with a win on a score
line of 4-12 to 0-06. They travel to Cloonacool for round 6 on Friday evening.

Harps 3-16, Molaise Gaels 3-12.
