The Sligo county final of Scór na nÓg for 2023 will be held four weeks from next weekend on Sunday 2 April, hosted by the St Michael's Club in Ballintogher Community Hall.

Scór combines all the colour and rivalry of our games with the social/fun element of our traditional non sporting past-times.

Scór comprises of eight disciplines:

-        Figure Dancing,

-        Solo Singing,

-        Instrumental Music,

-        Recitation/ Storytelling,

-        Ballad Group,

-        Novelty Act,

-        Table Quiz and

-        Set Dancing.

Scór- na -nÓg competitions are open to all juveniles under the age of 17 years on 1st January 2023.

We are appealing to all GAA clubs within the county to support the competitions and encourage the young people to participate in at least one or two disciplines.

Those competitions are part of our tradition and culture and its important that we keep them alive.

Young people should enjoy taking part as its not always about winning, but gives them an opportunity to meet and form new friendships.

Entry forms are available from club Cultural Officers and the closing date for entries is the 24th March. All contact details are included on the form.
