Visit of New York Girls Féile Team:

On Thursday last we had a memorable day and night in Quigabar with the visit of New York’s Girls Feile team, along with Sligo, Leitrim and Roscommon for an underage blitz. The teams played some top quality football before food and refreshments were served to players and parents in the clubhouse after, followed by entertainment. Our thanks to the Enniscrone/Kilglass Community Games choir and Mae and Séimí Thornhill for their wonderful performances, and DJ Paul Bourke. We were also treated to a brilliant song from Roscommon player Gemma Casey. A special word of thanks also goes to our team of volunteers, referee Michael Duffy and everyone involved in helping make it such a great occasion.

It was great to welcome them to our grounds once again, having done so in back in 2013 for the boys Feile team. There are a lot of strong connections between our club and New York, and long may those connections continue to flourish.

Congratulations to the girls who won the Division One title on Saturday for the second year in a row, winning all five games they played on the day.
