Well done to James Hynes and Matthew Lang both of whom received nominations for the Sligo GAA Intermediate Club All-Star Awards 2013. James gave up an enormous amount of his limited spare time to train our Intermediate Ladies side during the past year.

The  St. Farnan’s GAA Golden Jubilee celebrations reach their conclusion with a Banquet in the Diamond Coast Hotel on Friday week next, November 22nd. The naming of the 5 teams representing each of the decades, as selected by the players involved, will one of the highlights on the night. All those who are planning to attend are urged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible so that the organising committee and hotel can finalise preparations. Tickets are available from any club officer.

We will be holding a fundraising “Barn Dance” in conjunction with the GAA Club in the Still Bar, Dromore West on Sat, Dec 7th. More details later.

Please note that the Co. Sligo finals of Scór na nÓg  have been changed from  Sunday, December 8th,  to Sunday, January 5th 2014, at 2p.m. in Carraroe Hall. Anyone interested in taking part is asked to contact Frances Hanley.

Well done to the Boys from Dromore West N.S. who defeated Calry N.S. in the final of the Cumann na mBunscol INTO Mini Sevens football competition which took place recently.

Everybody in our area was deeply shocked to hear of the sudden and tragic death of Conor Brady from Skreen. We extend our deepest sympathy to his parents Peter and Maureen, brother Donal, sister Shaunagh, and all the members of the extended family, to his many friends and also to those involved in St. Patrick’s GAA Club. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.
