St. Farnan's Ladies Club notes 8/6/14
ST. FARNAN'S LADIES

The U-12’s maintained their unbeaten record in the current league campaign with a good win over Eastern Harps during the week and as a result have qualified for the semi-finals of the competition.
The U-14’s good run of form also continued when seeing off the challenge of Coolera on Tuesday last. The side’s next game is against Curry where victory would virtually guarantee a place in the knockout stages of the competition.
Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Tommy Keaveny, Skreen. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.

St. Farnan's Ladies Club notes
The Intermediate team made it three wins on the trot when they overcame the challenge of St. Michaels in a game played in ideal weather conditions in Ballintogher on Sunday morning last. A hard fought game from beginning to end looked like going the homesides’ way when they opened up a five point lead courtesy of two goals scored in quick succession midway through the opening half but the visitors won the remainder of the half by six points to three and would have been reasonably happy to find themselves trailing by just two points at the break, the scoreline reading 2-5 to 0-9. The game swung decisively in our girls favour early in the second period when they found the net twice in the space of two minutes via the fist of Imelda McNulty and the boot of Emily Burns and the matter was put beyond doubt when Burns struck for her second goal shortly after Leah Kelly had also goaled. St. Michaels’ third goal a few minutes from the end threatened to set up a tense finish but the West Sligo side had the final say through a brace of points from McNulty leaving the scoreboard reading 4-13 to 3-9 at the final whistle. Team: B.Cawley, V.Mulligan, C.Hannon, D.Kilgannon, J.Mulligan, V.Dunleavy, C.Kearins(0-1), G.Ruane(0-1),  E.McHugh, E.Burns(2-0), C. Cawley(0-2), I.McNulty (1-7), L.Kelly (1-2), Subs (all used): A.Connolly, C.O’Reilly, N.Ruane, F.Mulligan,. The team take on the might of Geevagh  in the final round of the group stages in Templeboy on Sunday next.
Over thirty people turned out for the fundraising “Fun Walk” which took place on Good Friday. The walkers departed from Templeboy church making their way through Lugdoon, Kingsmountain and Dunowla enjoying some of the most spectacular views of the Donegal, Sligo and Mayo coastlines as they made their way along the 10Km route. The club wish to thank all who took part.
Good luck to Instrumental Music Group members Deirdre Kilgannon, Laura Flatley, Martin Mulligan , Leanne and Ailbhe Dunne who represent St. Farnan’s in the All-Ireland finals of Scor Sinsir in the TF Theatre in Castelbar on Saturday next, the 26th. Your support would be appreciated.

St.Farnan's Ladies news 31/3/14
The Intermediate team faced Tourlestrane for the second time in a fortnight when they clashed in the first round of the new 11-a-side league at the South Sligo side’s home venue on Sunday last. The absence of our three county panellists who are not allowed to play in this competition as well as a number of other regulars always dictated that this would be an uphill struggle and so it proved to be but the displays of a number of our younger players were most encouraging.  Team: B.Cawley, V.Mulligan, V.Dunleavy, D.Kilgannon, N.Ruane, E.McHugh, C. Cawley(0-1), D.Kelly(1-1),  A.Connolly, I.McNulty, L.Kelly (2-2), Subs (all used):  E.O’Connor, E.Burns, A.Hanley. The team take on St. Michaels at home in the same competition on Sunday next.
The U-16’s get their campaign off to a start this week with a home game against Curry on Tuesday.
Congrats to Sean and Lorraine Healy on the birth of their twin girls recently.
