Big congrats to Rathcormac NS girls gaelic football team who won the Sligo Cumann na mBunscol title in Scarden last Saturday against a gallant Ransboro NS. The girls produced a great display in high quality final. Rathcormac boys played their hearts out too in their final against a talented Carraroe team, losing out in the end by three points. Well done to both sets of players and their manager Mr Kelly, on another fine Cumann na mBunscol season.

The attention now turns to Réalt na Mara boys football team in Rosses Point as they play their Shield final this Thursday afternoon in Scarden, against Sooey NS. Throw-in is at 4.15pm. The very best of luck to the team.

Congrats to our club players involved with both the men's and women's county teams in their respective championship wins last Sunday agianst Carlow and Kilkenny. It was good to see Eoghan Smith back in action in the Tailteann Cup for the Sligo men's team, after his recent injury lay-off. We wish Eoghan, Cian Lally and the Sligo team the very best of luck in their quarter-final against Fermanagh this weekend. Sinead Regan, Izzy Henry and Rianne Smith all featured in Sligo LGFA's big win over Kilkenny last Sunday in Cloonacool. The county team next play Limerick in two week's time.

On the club front, our senior men's footballers lost out to Shamrock Gaels in last Saturday's Division 1 league game, on a final scoreline of 2-13 to 0-13. Next up is a home fixture against Coolaney/Mullinabreena at Oxfield, (subject to Tailteann Cup quarter-final timings at the time of writing).

Our junior men's football team drew with Eastern Harps on Sunday evening in Oxfield, 2-7 to 1-10.

Our adult women's team resume their ACL Group 4 campaign on Sunday morning with a home game against St John's at 10:30am.

Good luck to the DRP girls U12 teams who take part in the Sligo LGFA Festival of Fun this Saturday in Tubbercurry.

The club is looking at introducing a new 'Gaelic for Mothers & Others' programme over the coming months. The interested mums are currently seeking a club coach to help get them started. If any DRP club coach would  like to give a hand with the initial phase of this new club venture,  please contact our Coaching Officer Rowan O'Callaghn for more info.
