St. Patricks Club notes Monday 26th Aug

Last Monday saw our u13 boys play their last championship group game, they lost out in the last minute with the final score of the game resulting in a goal for St. Mary's. They now wait to see how their opposition perform this week and find out if they might still be in with a chance to reach a semifinal. Well done on a great season to players and management.

Our u15 boys team played their last round of championship this week with a strong win over Enniscrone/Kilglass, final score 6-6 to 1-7. The two teams have progressed to a quarter final against each other September 3rd, best of luck to both teams.

Well done to our u17 boys team who had a great round 2 win over Coolaney/Mullinabreena 2-15 to 4-5. They take on Owenmore Gaels this Wednesday at home at 7pm.

Our u18 girls hosted a great win over Calry/St. Joseph's on Wednesday evening. Despite tough weather conditions the girls dug deep and maintained an impressive lead throughout. The girls play their next two games on the 2nd and 4th September away to St. Molaise Gaels and then St. John's.

The senior men's Intermediate championship got off to a tough start with a narrow loss to St. Farnan's last weekend. This week saw a turn in their luck with a 1-8 to 0-8 victory over Enniscrone. It was all tied at half time with 3 points each, the lads maintained a two point lead throughout the second half until the final minutes of the game where it was tied again at 8 points a piece but a goal in the final moments secured the win for Pat's. The lads have a two week break until their next game against Coolaney/Mullinabreena Sunday 15th September.

The ladies team started their championship last weekend but unfortunately it wasn't a great start for the girls with a loss away to St. Mary's Saturday evening. The ladies try again this Saturday for round 2 away to Drumcliffe/Rosses Point at 7pm.
